This is the Certainteed Somerton II model retrofit window. The Somerton II is also available in a replacement style frame, without the retrofit lip. The window shown is a horizontal XO slider with the optional brick molding attachment on the retrofit lip. The Somerton II is also available in a single hung as well as a picture window. Notice the detailed brick molding look of the retrofit lip. This is one option that separates Certainteed from its competitors. The lip is not only much more appealing than a plain, flat lip, but it's also much sturdier. The thin retrofit lip that is standard on most windows will conform to the uneven surface of a stucco home. This creates a wavy look to the lip.
